Renee Newberry began her dance training at Marie Frank Parks and Recreation at the age of six and went on to study ballet, jazz, and modern dance with Dancemoves Studio of Dance in White Marsh. She performed throughout her undergraduate years with the Washington College Dance Company, while also choreographing ballet, modern, and jazz pieces for the company. Renee has also studied with Ann Marie School of Dance in Edgewood and with Morton Street Dance Center in Baltimore, where she performed professionally with the school's resident company, Full Circle Dance Company. In addition, Renee has taught ballet, tap, and jazz to young children at Emmorton Recreation Council in Bel Air, as well as ballet technique, modern, and lyrical to the recreation council's dance team for which she choreographed a competition piece. Renee received her B.A. in English from Washington College in 2001 and has since worked as a journalist and English teacher. She has taught for Dancemoves Studio of Dance since 2007. Renee has been a member of Common Ground since November 2004.
