Originally from Louisville, KY, Morgan began her training under Helen Starr. Morgan danced with the Louisville Ballet Company for four seasons dancing in the Corps de Ballet, performing in a variety of ballets such as The Firebird, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and Swan Lake. She graduated from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music with a B.F.A. in dance performance and teaching. Morgan danced leading roles at the Conservatory including a Solo in Paquita, Napoli, and What's It Spell? Choreographed by William Pizzuto. She also was chosen for lead roles in contemporary works Landscape/Horizon Choreographed by Sean Curran and Esplanade Choreographed by Paul Taylor where Morgan had a showcasing role. She then danced for two seasons with Ballet Theatre of Maryland and was featured in various classical and contemporary work like Coppelia, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker. She has additionally received many awards and accolades for her choreography.
