Mellisa Mauldin

Mellisa began her classical dance training at Shore Ballet School in Island Heights, NJ, at the age of 4 where she was extensively trained in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus as well as jazz and tap technique. She continued to train with top teachers from all over the world by attending summer intensives including: Princeton Ballet School (NJ), American Academy of Ballet (NY), Atlanta School of Ballet (GA), Bates Dance Festival (ME), and Yorkshire Ballet Seminars (England). In 2005 she graduated magna cum lade from Towson University with a BFA in Dance Performance and Education. Before and after graduation she taught dance in local studios, including Towson University Children’s Division, Carroll County Dance Center & Ballet Conservatory and Carroll Manor Dance. Professionally she has performed with the Anglo-American Ballet (NY), Movement/Addiction (MD), and Kimberly Mackin Dance Company (MD). Currently Mellisa teaches dance full time at Friends School of Baltimore and is excited to be dancing with Common Ground.
