Janelle Clark

Originally from Niles, Michigan, Janelle has been dancing since she was four, when she studied ballet under Deborah Poland. At the age of twelve, she moved to a professional studio, Southold Dance Theater. While there, her training was expanded to include modern and jazz, studying under Bonnie Baxter. Janelle performed "The Nutcracker" ballet for eight consecutive years at the Morris Performing Arts Theater. She has also performed in many other ballets, including "Graduation Ball", "Midsummer Night's Ball", "Sleeping Beauty", "Sabrina", and "La Bayadere". She graduated from South Western Michigan College with an Associates degree in Art. She then went on to teach at Southold Dance Theater. She has choreographed many original pieces for her students and the dance company at Southold Dance Theater. She now teaches at Dancemoves Studio of Dance and is in her second year with Common Ground.
