Anne Magill O’Brien grew up in Bryan, TX where she started dancing at age 4. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1997 with a B.A. in History. While in college she danced with and choreographed for the UT Dance Team, and was a member of Third Coast Jazz Dance Company. Anne married her high school sweetheart, Danny, in 1997 and they moved to Champaign IL where Danny enrolled in graduate school. Anne taught at Art In Motion Dance Studio and also choreographed and coached for its competition team. After 5 years in IL, Anne and Danny moved to Maryland for his new job at Army Research Labs. Anne went back to school for a second bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance and Education, with K-12 Certification from Towson University which she just completed in December, 2005. Her latest and greatest achievement is the birth of baby Daniel Magill O’Brien on March 8, 2006. Anne would like to thank her dear Danny and the lovely ladies of Common Ground for the opportunities to perform and choreograph with such a wonderful group of dancers.
